Homes For Scotland Conference
We were thrilled to sponsor the Homes for Scotland annual conference, which took place at Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh, on 21st September.
This year’s theme, People, Place and Planet, brought to attention the importance of Scotland’s future homes strategy and how the home building sector plans to transition to net-zero by 2045.
The event’s keynote speaker, Tom Arthur, shed light on the difficult challenges that must be overcome if we are to embrace the new perspective on future homes for Scotland.
It is clear that, for the industry to achieve net-zero, companies and thought-leaders must tackle these challenges holistically, and consider new approaches to reduce carbon emissions at a faster rate.
Virtual showhomes are already playing a pivotal role in the industry’s gradual move towards net-zero. Not only do they reduce carbon emissions by 812kg per house sold, but they also significantly reduce the investment required to present a showhome.
