Global Tech Minds Gather in Edinburgh

Edinburgh hosted this year’s Turing Fest at the end of August, a diverse forum of world leading technologists, company-builders, growth leaders and investors.

Given our growth plans, it was the ideal opportunity for Pixel’s MD, Steve Smith, to share his experience and insights on business growth, product development and changing trends in customer engagement.

One of the most telling take-aways from this year’s speaker sessions was from User Testing Chief Insights Officer, Janelle Estes. She highlighted how data can help us to understand what buyers actually want, not what they ‘say’ they want. We’re confident that user testing to gain customer insights is going to grow in a big way in the UK over the coming years. This is an area we’re really looking to develop here at Pixel.

With Edinburgh’s tech sector contributing nearly £4 billion to the economy last year, and rated as the best place for data analysts to work in the UK by salary, there was a huge buzz in the conversation at this year’s event.
